Abstract
In Spirit and Truth: The Witness of Church Fathers in the Twenty-first Century

The article highlights the importance and significance of the teachings of the Church Fathers in the foundation of theological discourse in modern society. It attempts to express key points which the exponents of Orthodox theology in the twenty-first century should not gloss over. The text consists of five points:
First: The Double Theological Method, where the distinction between created and uncreated is accentuated as the foundation of every theological discourse.
Second: The Relationship between Theology and Language where the dynamism of the theological discourse of the Holy Fathers is evident.
Third: God as True Life and the Dogma as a living experience in the Church.
Fourth: The Importance of the Human Body as a rich expression
of the patristic teaching on incarnation.
Fifth: The Theology of Beauty as a timely witness to modern
man.
