محاضرة حول القديس مكسيموس المعترف، صورة الله في الإنسان
في نهار الأربعاء الواقع فيه 18/2/2015، استقبل معهد القديس يوحنا الدمشقي اللاهوتي في جامعة البلمند الأب الدكتور ايلي ايروليه من جامعة ليون الكاثوليكية في فرنسا، لإلقاء محاضرة بعنوان: "مكسيموس المعترف، صورة الله في الإنسان ".
يختص الأب ايلي بآباء الحقبة التي تمتد من القرن الرابع حتى القرن السابع، وخصوصًا الآباء الكابادوكيين، ديونيسيوس المنحول، مكسيموس المعترف ويوحنّا الدمشقي. وقد وضع عدّة دراسات حول انتروبولوجيا آباء تلك الحقبة. إضافةً إلى تعليمه في جامعة ليون الكاثوليكية وبحوثه، يتعاون الأب ايلي مع إدارة سلسلة (المصادر المسيحيّة - Sources Chrétiennes) لإعداد وإصدار كتب آبائيّة.
بداية افتُتحت المحاضرة بتراتيل أدّتها جوقة المعهد، ومن ثمّ ابتدأت المحاضرة، التي تناول فيها الأب ايلي نظرة القدّيس مكسيموس حول الصورة الإلهيّة والمثال وتفاعل الإنسان معها. وفي النهاية تناقش الحاضرون حول عدّة مسائل إيمانيّة وعقائديّة.

The Process of the Divine Image in Man
On Wednesday, February 18, 2015, Father Dr. Elie Ayroulet, Director of the Graduate Studies at the Catholic University of Lyon was welcomed at the Saint John of Damascus Institute of Theology at the University of Balamand, where he presented a lecture entitled: “Maximus the Confessor, The Process of the Divine Image in Man.”
Father Elie is a specialist in the Patristic tradition of the fourth till the seventh centuries, including the Cappadocian Fathers Pseudo-Dionysius, Maximus the Confessor and John of Damascus. He has done several research studies on the anthropology of these Fathers. In addition to his teaching and research, he collaborates with the famous Sources Chrétiennes on editing several patristic volumes.
After the hymns performed by the Choir of Saint John the Damascene, Brother Ayroulet presented his lecture on the perspective of Saint Maximus the Confessor on the Divine Image and likeness and the human interaction. At the end, the participants discussed several issues related to faith and doctrine.
