Upon the invitation of the Church of Kurhessen Waldeck, Germany, His Grace Bishop Ghattas Hazim visited the headquarters of the Church in Kassel, the Hofgeismar Academy, and the University of Marburg. His Grace headed a delegation comprised of Archpriest Fayez Mansour, Archpriest Abdo Najjar, and Dr Nicolas Abou Mrad, In the Church Headquarters, His Grace was welcomed by Bishop Martin Hein the head of the Kurhessen Wladeck Church. His Grace gave a talk to academicians, theologians and pastors about the Christian Presence in the Middle East. The Dean also visited the Hofgeismar Academy which provides field training for pastors of the German Church. He also met the students and the Faculty. Then the University of Marburg welcomed His Grace where he discussed ways of academic cooperation. At the end of the visit the Dean met with Dr Martin Luckhoff who is the coordinator of the friendship and coordination committee that gathers the Church of Antioch with Kurhessen Waldeck.
زيارة العميد الى المانيا
بدعوة من كنيسة كورهسن فالديك، زار العميد سيادة الأسقف غطاس (هزيم) مركز المطرانية في مدينة كاسل وجامعة ماربورغ ومعهد هوفغايسمر. رافقه في الزيارة الدكتور نقولا أبو مراد. في مركز المطرانية، أستقبل سيادته رئيس كنيسة كورهسن فالديك الأسقف مارتن هاين، وكان لسيادته محاضرة حول موضوع الوجود المسيحي في الشرق حضرها حشد من أكاديميين ولاهوتيين. كما زار العميد معهد هوفغايسمر حيث التقى بمديره وأساتذته وطلابه. ثم انتقل إلى كلية اللاهوت في جامعة ماربورغ وبحث موضوع التعاون الأكاديمي بين الجامعة المذكورة والبلمند.
في نهاية الزيارة التقى العميد، بالقس الدكتور مارتن لوكوف منسّق لجنة التعاون والصداقة بين كنيسة أنطاكية وكنيسة كورهسن فالديك في ألمانيا.
