My dearly Beloved:
Let us contemplate the scene of the Holy Nativity of Christ.
The scene informs us that, “this newborn Child brings a special message to the world.” This message was revealed to us through Him, in His preaching: “Unless you change and become like little children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 18:3). Christ is preaching a simple word, that is not acceptable to many today. God accepted to come to us and to help us. He accepted to be close to us. God is not far. We need to be pious and pure to perceive God, to be close to Him. He took on our nature and lived our life. He blesses our food and our drink, and all existence. In this Holy Feast of the Nativity, we learn that God is Lord and Master, Lord of heaven and earth . He is so near to us as to die for our salvation.
Nowadays, rare are the people who comprehend each other or Who truly talk to each other. For some, the other is difficult and alien. However, God has taught us, through His Incarnation, that the other is our partner, our helper, in the truest sense of the word. (Some would like to perceive God as a revengeful giant; and others think that if we believe in Him we are all oppressed, because we are under His authority).
Our Feast today teaches us that God could be humble for ours sake. He wants us to be humbled that we may know each other and understand each other. Some take pride in hiding their intentions: they say something and mean something else. By behaving in this manner, they think wrongly that they are clever. This behavior is the result of fear, while love and humility do not engender fear.
At this occasion, I send you my warmest regards. May we have many joyful returns of this Feast and may we be filled with faith and love. May our eyes continue to behold the Lord Jesus Christ, Who accepted To do that for our salvation.

رسالة الميلاد
دعونا أيها الأحباء نتأمل قليلاً في هنيهة ميلاد المسيح:
إن هذا المشهد يقول لنا" إن هذا الطفل يأتي برسالة خاصة لهذا العالم"، هذه الرسالة قالها هذا الطفل عندما كبُر" إنْ لم تكونوا كالأطفال لا تدخلوا ملكوت السماوات"، إنه يبشر ببساطة هذه الكلمة التي لم تعد مقبولة اليوم، نحن نتكلم اليوم عن إله ارتضى أن يأتي إلينا ليكون في خدمتنا، أن يكون قريباً منا، الله ليس بعيداً، يجب أن نكون أتقياء، يجب أن نكون بالفعل صافين، عندئذ نرى الله لا يبتعد عنا، لا بل يأتي إلينا، يلبس طبيعتنا، يعيش معنا، يبارك طعامنا وشرابنا ويبارك حياتنا كلها، الله ليس بعيداً، في الميلاد نتعلم أن الله ليس بعيداً، هو رب وهو سيد، رب السموات والأرض. يأتي ليقدم نفسه، لا لكي يقدم كل الناس من أجل نفسه.
أصبحنا أيها الأحباء لا يفهم الواحد الآخر، أصبحنا لا نقرأ واحدُنا الآخر، أصبح الواحد بالنسبة إلى الآخر عقدة من العقد بدل أن يكون له معيناً، بدل من أن يكون عاضداً بالمعنى الحقيقي لهذه الكلمة ( كطفل علمنا الله نفسه، الإله الذي يحلو للبعض أن يراه جباراً منتقماً، الإله الذي يظن البعض إننا إذا آمنا به فنحن جميعاً مقهورون لأننا تحت سلطة الله).
فعيدنا عيد عفوية وبساطة أرادها الله لنفسه حباً بنا، وأراد لنا أن نكون نحن حائزين عليها، عندئذ يفهم الواحد منا الآخر، فقد أصبح عندنا من الشطارة أن يُخفي الإنسان ما يكنه للآخرين، أصبح عندنا من البراعة أن تقول شيئاً وتظن شيئاً آخر، أن تقول شيئاً وتفعل شيئاً آخر، إن هذا في النهاية نتيجة خوف . والمحبة والعفوية لا تخاف.
إني أعايدكم وأسأل الله الذي ارتضى أن يأتي إلينا إلى مغارة بيت لحم، أن يعيد هذا العيد علينا جميعاً، ونحن نتمتع بقلب يملأه إيمان، وأن تكون أعيننا دائماً ناظرةً إلى صاحب العيد الذي هو الرب يسوع المسيح المولود لأجل خلاصنا.
