افتتاح المؤتمر الدولي للاهوت في البلمند
ببركة ورعاية صاحب الغبطة البطريرك يوحنّا العاشر، بطريرك أنطاكية وسائر المشرق، افتتح معهد القديس يوحنّا الدمشقي اللاهوتي في جامعة البلمند المؤتمر الدولي السادس للاهوت العقائدي الأرثوذكسي بعنوان: "الرؤية الإسخاتولوجية للاهوت الارثوذكسي"، والذي ينظمه المعهد بالتعاون مع الرابطة الدولية للاهوتيين العقائديين الأرثوذكس. تضمّ الرابطة أساتذة جامعيين لاهوتيين مختصين بعلم اللاهوت العقائدي من مختلف أنحاء العالم. افتتح المؤتمر أعماله الخميس 7 حزيران الساعة الرابعة والنصف بصلاة الشكر في كنيسة السيّدة في دير سيّدة البلمند البطريركي، ترأسها سيادة المتروبوليت أفرام، راعي أبرشية طرابلس والكورة، ممثلاً غبطة البطريرك يوحنّا العاشر. كما حضر أيضًا السفراء: فيكتور ميرسيا سفير رومانيا، كريستينا رافتي سفيرة قبرص، كوستانتينوس هادجيتوماس القائم بأعمال السفارة اليونانيّة. وشارك أيضًا الأب طانيوس خليل، عميد كلية العلوم الكنسية في جامعة الحكمة، والأرشمندريت رومانوس (الحناة) رئيس دير سيّدة البلمند البطريركي، والأرشمندريت ألكسي شحادة مدير دائرة العلاقات المسكونيّة والتنمية، والبروفيسور ميشال ستافرو رئيس الرابطة الدولية للاهوتيين العقائديين الأرثوذكس، ونواب رئيس الرابطة الأب يوحنا تولكان والأب بورفيريوس جرجي عميد معهد اللاهوت، وعمداء من جامعة البلمند وأساتذة وطلاب.
قدّم للجلسة الافتتاحيّة للمؤتمر في القاعة الكبرى في الدير الأب بسّام ناصيف من معهد اللاهوت. بداية، رحَّب الأرشمندريت رومانوس رئيس الدير بالمشاركين. ثم قرأ سيادة المتروبوليت أفرام رسالة غبطة البطريرك يوحنّا العاشر الى المؤتمر، ناقًلا أدعيته ومحبته، ومباركًا المشاركين فيه. ثم كانت كلمة الرابطة ألقاها البروفيسور ميشيل ستافرو، وكلمة أخيرة لمعهد اللاهوت في البلمند كونه المستضيف للمؤتمر ألقاها عميد المعهد ونائب رئيس الرابطة الأب بورفيريوس. اختُتمت الجلسة الافتتاحية بكوكتيل وصورة تذكارية.
The International Orthodox Symposium on Dogmatics in Balamand
Under the high patronage of His Beatitude Patriarch John X of Antioch and All the East, and with His blessings, the Sixth International Symposium of the International Association of Orthodox Dogmatic Theologians (IAODT) titled: “The Eschatological Vision of Orthodox Theology” was inaugurated at the Holy Patriarchal Monastery of our Lady of Balamand, Lebanon, on June 7, 2018 at 4:30 PM, The IAODT consists of Orthodox Dogmatic theologians from Europe, America, and the Middle East. His Eminence Ephrem, Metropolitan of Tripoli, Koura and Dependencies, representative of His Beatitude John X Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, presided over the opening prayer at the Monastery. Their Excellencies, Mr. Victor Mircea Ambassador of Romania, Mrs. Christina Rafti, Ambassador of Cyprus, Mr. Constantinos Hadjithomas, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Greece, Fr. Tanios Khalil Dean of the Faculty of Ecclesiastical Sciences, La Sagesse University, Archimandrite Romanos Al-Hannat Abbot of Our Balamand Monastery, Archimandrite Alexis Chehadeh, Director of the Department of Ecumenical Relations and Development, Professor Michel Stavrou, President of the IAODT, Fr. Ioan Tulcan, Vice-President of the IAODT and Fr. Porphyrios Georgi, Dean of the Institute of Theology and Vice-President of the IAODT, University of Balamand deans and directors, faculty and students were among the audience.
The opening session was presented by Fr. Bassam Nassif from the Institute of Theology at the Great Hall of the Balamand Monastery. At first, Archimandrite Romanos Al-Hannat Abbot of the Monastery welcomed the participants. His Eminence Ephrem read the greeting message of His Beatitude Patriarch John X to the conference. He relayed Patriarch John’s love and prayers, and his blessings to all participants. Then, Professor Michel Stavrou, president of the IAODT, addressed the audience in the name of the Association. Fr. Porphyrios, the Vice President of the Association, gave a welcoming speech, being Dean of the Institute of Theology that is hosting the event. At the end of the opening ceremony, all participants joined in a reception and took a collective photo.
