The Second Day of the Conference in the Occasion of the First Annual Memorial of the Thrice Blessed Patriarch Ignatius IV

لليوم الثاني على التوالي توالى المحاضرون على إلقاء المحاضرات الغنيّة والشيّقة عن المثلّث الرحمات إغناطيوس هزيم، البطريرك السابق لأنطاكيا وسائر المشرق، في المؤتمر المقام في دير سيّدة البلمند في الذكرى السنوية الأولى لرقاده. فمع سيادة الأسقف غطاس هزيم والدكتور نقولا أبو مراد والأستاذ ريمون رزق، تعرفنا في المحور الأولّ على إغناطيوس الرابع الإنسان وزمانه، وقد قدم المحاضرين سيادة الأسقف نقولا بعلبكي.
ثمّ كان المحور الثاني بعنوان "التربية، التعليم والمقاربة الوعظية" مع كلّ من الدكتور جورج نحاس والأستاذة فريدا حداد عبس والأستاذة جومانا طه وقدمهم سيادة المتروبوليت جاروجيوس ابو زخم. أمّا المحور الثالث فبدأ بعد مأدبة غداء أقيمت في جامعة البلمند، فكان عنوانه "الحضور الأنطاكي الأرثوذكسي والمسكوني". في هذا المحور تكلّم كلّ من سيادة الأسقف ديمتري شربك وقدس الأب رامي ونّوس والدكتور دانيال عيوش وقدهم الدكتور الياس الحلبي. وانتهى اليوم الثاني بمحاضرة ألقاها الدكتور إيلي ضنّاوي عن قاعدة بيانات لوثائق عن البطريرك إغناطيوس الرابع. هذه البيانات سوف تنشر على موقع إلكتروني خاص بالمثلّث الرحمات البطريرك إغناطيوس الرابع. وقد قدمه قدس الأب حارث إبراهيم.
في هذا اليوم الطويل الذي لا تكفي ساعاته إلاّ لعرض القليل عن هذا الراحل الكبير، نفتقد لحضوره بيننا في بيته البلمنديّ رغم شعورنا الدائم بصلواته وبركته ... ويستمرّ المؤتمر.
On Wednesday 3rd of December 2013, under the High Patronage of His Beatitude John X, Patriarch of Antioch and all of the East, the Conference titled “PATRIARCH IGNATIUS IV: THE MAN AND HIS LEGACY” continued at the Patriarchal Monastery of Our Lady of Balamand. Present were several hierarchs, clergy, officials, students of Saint John of Damascus Institute of Theology. After the prayer, the first session, Patriarch Ignatius, the Man and his Time, started with His Grace Bishop Ghattas Hazim, the Abbot of Our Lady of Balamand Patriarchal Monastery, Dr. Nicolas Abou Mrad, and Mr. Raymond Rizk. The moderator of this first session was His Grace Bishop Nicolas Baalbaki. The second session about Patriarch Ignatius' Educational and Homiletic approach was introduced by His Eminence Metropolitan Georges Abou Zakhem. In this session, Dr. George Nahas, Mrs. Frida Haddad, and Mrs. Joumana Taha presented their papers about the subject. The third session was about the Orthodox Antiochian and Ecumenical Presence. This second session was followed by lunch. The third session was introduced by Dr. Elias Halabi. Dr. Halabi presented His Grace Bishop Demetrios Charbak, Father Rami Wannous and Dr. Daniel Ayuch. The second day concluded with the presentation of Dr. Elie Dannaoui who was introduced by Fr. Hareth Ibrahim. Dr. Dannaoui presented to the conference participants a new database archiving information available about documents concerning Patriarch Ignatius IV. This database will be published on an internet page for Thrice Blessed Patriarch Ignatius IV.
The conference continues for a third day with various rich presentations about the Thrice Blessed Patriarch Ignatius IV whose inspiring presence and words of wisdom we miss very much.
