أمسية مرتلة بمناسبة عيد شفيع المعهد وتخرج طلاب برامج التعلّم عن بُعد
في مساء يوم الاثنين 4 كانون الأول 2017، وبحضور أصحاب السيادة ثيوفان رئيس أساقفة ياش ومتروبوليت مولدوفا وبوكوفينا، غطّاس (هزيم) متروبوليت بغداد والكويت وتوابعهما، قيس (صادق) أسقف أرضروم، يوحنّا (بطش) أسقف سرجيوبولس، ثيودوروس (الغندور) أسقف أفاميا، الكليِّ الطهر والجزيليِّ الاحترام، وبحضور قدس الأرشمندريت رومانوس الحناة رئيس دير سيدة البلمند البطريركي، وقدس الأب بورفيريوس جرجي عميد معهد اللاهوت في البلمند، وقدس الأب فيوريل سافا العميد السابق لكليّة اللاهوت في جامعة ياش –رومانيا، ولفيف من الكهنة والمؤمنين، أقيمت أمسية مرتلة لجوقة معهد اللاهوت بقيادة الأستاذ جلبير حنَّا، قُدّمت من خلالها باقة من تراتيل عيد القدّيس يوحنّا الدمشقيّ وعيد الميلاد المجيد.
بداية ألقى قدس الأب بورفيريوس جرجي عميد المعهد اللاهوتي كلمة نقل فيها بركات وأدعية صاحب الغبطة البطريرك يوحنّا العاشر بطريرك أنطاكية وسائر المشرق، كما شدَّد قدسه على أننا نلتقي لنرفع القلوب إلى فوق مسبحين الإله الواحد المثلث الأنوار بتراتيل تؤديها جوقة معهدنا اللاهوتي. تخلّل الحفل تخريج طلّاب برامج معهد اللاهوت للتعلّم عن بعد، وهي برنامج "كلمة" للتنشئة اللاهوتيّة (باللغة العربية) ينسقها قدس الأب بسام ناصيف، وبرنامجي Sofia وCBB (باللغة الاسبانيّة) ينسقها الدكتور دانيال عيوش. كما ألقت الخريجة مارلين رميلي كلمة الخريجين مؤكدة أننا مدعوون لمعرفة الله بربنا ومخلصنا يسوع المسيح. وفي ختام الحفل عبَّر صاحب السيادة ثيوفان عن فرحه الكبير بحضور هذا الاحتفال المجيد بعيد القديس يوحنّا الدمشقي مقدمًا التهاني الحارة للخريجين طالبًا من الله أن يحفظهم. بعد الحفل أقيمت مائدة طعام في معهد اللاهوت وزعت في ختامها هدايا تذكاريّة للخريجين.
Byzantine Music Festival and Graduation of Online Programs
Under the high patronage of His Beatitude JOHN X, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, a Byzantine Music Festival and a graduation ceremony for the Online Programs were held in the great hall of Our Lady of Balamand Patriarchal Monastery, on Monday, December 4, 2017, and in the occasion of the patronal feast of the St. John of Damascus Institute of Theology. Present were His Eminence Teofan, Archbishop of Iaşi and Metropolitan of Moldova and Bucovina, His Eminence Metropolitan Ghattas of the Archdiocese of Kuwait, Baghdad, and dependencies, His Grace Qais, Bishop of Ardroum, His Grace Youhanna, Bishop of Sergiopolis, and His Grace Theodore, Bishop of Afamia, Archimandrite Romanos Al Hannat, Abbot of Our Lady of Balamand Patriarchal Monastery, Fr. Porphyrios Georgi, the Dean of St. John of Damascus Institute of Theology at the University of Balamand, Fr. Dr. Viorel Sava from the Faculty of Theology at the University of Iasi, and faithful coming from different areas of Lebanon and Syria. The Music Festival was conducted by Protopsalti Gilbert Hanna. Hymns were chanted from liturgical service of the feasts of St. John the Damascene and Holy Nativity. At first, Fr. Porphyrios Georgi, the Dean of St. John of Damascus Institute of Theology, gave a welcoming speech, and relayed the blessings and warmest greetings of His Beatitude, Patriarch JOHN X. He also expressed that in meeting together we lift up our hearts to God, praising the Holy Trinity through liturgical hymns presented by our Institute’s Choir. At the end of the Music Festival, the graduation ceremony for the Online Programs was held. The online programs are: Kalima for theological education in Arabic, coordinated by Fr. Bassam Nassif, and SOFIA and CBB in Spanish coordinated by Dr. Daniel Ayuch. One the graduates, Ms. Marlene Rmeily gave the graduation speech emphasizing that we are called to know God in Christ Jesus, His Word. At the end, His Eminence Archbishop Teofan expressed his great joy in participating in this glorious celebration for the feast of St. John of Damascus, presenting his warmest congratulations to the graduates, and asking God to keep them. Afterwards, a banquet was held at the Institute of Theology for the Graduates and graduation gifts were conferred to them as well.
